Amplitude - 1/2 the height of a wave, or the vertical stretch in a function, the “a” in f(x) = a(x-h)+k
Asymptote - description graph of its horizontal or vertical stretch
Circle-a circle is a set of all points in a planet a distance r from a given point. The standard form of the equation of a circle whose center (h,k) and whose radius is r, is (c-h)2+(y-k)=R2
Complex Conjunction-The comples numbers a+bi and a-bi are complex conjugates.
Complex Numbers-An expression a+bi, where a (the real part) an b (the imagnary part) are real numbers
Composition of Functions-fοg(x)=f(g(x))
Continuity-being continuous on a functions entire domain.
Discontinuity- a function has breakes hole or gaps and is not continuous
Domain- set of all values of x that are true for a given relation.
End behavior- Describes the far left and the far right portions of a polynomial graph, and can be determined by looking at the coefficient and degree of the leading coefficient.
Extrema- the extreme values of a function.
Factoring- the product of monomials and polynomials
Frequency- a measure of the number of occurrences of a repeating event per unit of time
Function- a function is a relation in which each element of the domain is paired with exactly one element of the range
fundamental Theorem of Algebra- if P(x) is a polynomial of degree n=1 with complex coefficients, then P(x) = 0 has at least one complex root
Initial Side- the beginning position of the ray
Irrational Zeros- zeros of a function that are irrational numbers
Rational Zeros- zeros of a function that are rational numbers
